Collective Passport: It is issued for a group of people to travel abroad for business / personal purposes.
Family Passport: This is a rare type of passport which is allotted to a family to travel abroad for business or personal purposes.
What are the eligibility criteria for passport?
There are no eligibility criteria to obtain the passport. However, there are certain documents are required to obtain a passport like identity proof, address proof, age proof and other type of documents.
How to apply for a new passport in India?
To apply for a passport in India visit the online ‘Passport Seva’ and login / register with your ID and password and select the ‘Fresh Passport / Passport Reissue’ and fill the application form. Now click on the ‘Upload e-Form’ with all the required information in it and submit. Now click on ‘Pay and Schedule Appointment’ and pay the fees and schedule the in-person appointment with the officials for physical verification / police verification.
After the verification, your passport will be delivered to your registered address within a few days.
