Step 1: Feasibility Report
In an on grid solar system installation, the first step is to procure a Feasibility Report which is an approval from DISCOM (Electricity Department). There are over 95 DISCOMs in India such as TNEB, DHVNN, NBDCL, etc. Indian government (MNRE) introduced the ‘National Portal For Rooftop Solar’ to simplify the overall process of installing a rooftop solar system. The consumer can visit the website and submit his request. He/ She will easily get feasibility report within 7-10 days. The consumer will need to input his/ her electricity bill, email id, mobile number, Aadhar card, and some other documents to process the approval.
